Fashion Minority Alliance is partnering with WeRise to deliver Lambeth Council’s 2023 ELEVATE Creative Bootcamp. The ELEVATE mission is to open up the creative and digital sector to every young person in Lambeth and this Bootcamp will provide opportunities for aspiring creatives to develop their practices through a focused programme of hands-on experience and soft skills that will give an edge to stepping up in fashion design, styling, social media, content creation, and photography.
The bootcamp will focus on hands-on training and experiential learning. After completing the program, creatives will have the chance to apply their newfound skills in real-world settings through paid internships. We will offer a daily Living London Wage stipend to help cover living expenses during the bootcamp and internship. Participants will also have access to mentoring sessions from industry experts who will guide them on their journey. Our program includes exciting field trips that will take them behind the scenes of the fashion and media industry and we’re bringing in renowned visiting creatives who will share their expertise and inspire the participants with their success stories.
We welcome applications from all walks of life and strongly encourage participation from:
– BIPOC individuals
– Individuals from the LGBTQIA+ community
– Individuals with a mental or physical disability or a long-term limiting illness
– Individuals who are care leavers or carers
– Individuals from a lower socio-economic background
The deadline for applications is 15th September 2023 at midnight GMT.
