The Fashion Minority Alliance Book Club

15.11.2024

As UK Black History Month, with its powerful theme of Reclaiming Narratives, has now wrapped, Fashion Minority Alliance and its partner, Edyn Hotels, joined forces to host an unforgettable conversation with acclaimed British author Natasha Brown about her award-winning novel, Assembly and her upcoming release, in 2025, Universality.

Held at Edyn’s London HQ, with a global audience of Edyners tuning in, Karen Cummings-Palmer and Kelley Ralph masterfully delved into the poignant, the raw, the impact, and the inspirational elements of Brown’s work. The hour-long discussion captivated listeners as Natasha read excerpts from her novels, engaged in thought-provoking dialogue, answered audience questions, and revealed the nuanced beauty of her storytelling and the stories that shape her writing.

The Fashion Minority Alliance Book Club was created as a space to explore the transformative power of books and as an entry point for businesses to marry literature, engagement, belonging and empathy across its workforce. This makes the humble book club a powerful tool for fostering healthy discussion that not only educates but bridges division and lays the groundwork for more effective inclusion and belonging measures within organisations.
