Fashion & Creative Industries Living Wage Internship Programme

We’re all aware the fashion and creative industries has seen a revolution in the way we shop and consume information forcing these industries to invest heavily in new ways to conduct business. It is therefore vital that a pipeline of talent is able to fill roles and have access to new job opportunities and, in order to do so, require an understanding of new techniques, tech and how they can develop and enhance their careers.
 
Aimed at amplifying underrepresented voices in fashion and creative industries this competition is open to all however, we strongly encourage participation from underserved young adults, aged 16-26, who live in the London Borough of Hackney.
 
The selected Fellows will receive an internship within the creative industries and be paid a Living London Wage* Rules Apply
 
Rules of Entry:
 
Applications for the Living Wage Internship Programme will consist of a total of 2 placements by means of 2 young adults, aged between 16-26, being selected and each being placed in a London based creative company Internship role for a maximum of two (2) months duration.
 
The programme is designed for individuals who are eager to learn, collaborate and make an impact in fields such as graphic design, fashion, photography, video production, beauty, public relations, advertising, talent management, marketing, and more.
 
Young creatives (ages 16-26) who are passionate about pursuing a career in the creative industry
Those with a desire to learn, develop new skills and work alongside experienced professionals
Applicants with little to no formal industry experience but with a strong creative drive and willingness to grow
 
Selection process:
 
Successful candidates will be invited to an online interview.
 
We regret that we will not be able to provide feedback to unsuccessful candidates.

The Sponsorship is hosted by Fashion Minority Alliance.
Successful Fellows will not be required to pay to enter the sponsorship opportunity.
Entries must be submitted between 20th February and 11:59pm, GMT, on March 31st 2025. All entries received outside of this period will be disqualified.
Only one application per person will be accepted.
The Living Wage Internship Programme Sponsorship is open to individuals above the age of 16 on the date of their entry.
Employees of the Fashion Minority Alliance (including its affiliated and related companies) and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter.
The Sponsorship is open to legal residents of the United Kingdom.
Fashion Minority Alliance will not be held liable for any failure of receipt of entires.
To the extent permitted by applicable law. Fashion Minority Alliance’s liability under or in connection with the sponsorship or these terms and conditions shall be limited to UKSterling £1.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Fashion Minority Alliance shall not be liable under or in connection with these terms and conditions, the sponsorship offer for any indirect, special or consequential cost, expense, loss or damage suffered by an applicant even if such cost, expense, loss or damage was reasonably foreseeable or might reasonably have been contemplated by the participant and the promoter and whether arising from breach of contract, tort, negligence, breach of statutory duty or otherwise.
The sponsorship is non-negotiable and non-refundable. No cash alternative is available.
The name, address, email address and phone number of the Fellows must be provided to Fashion Minority Alliance if requested and will be shared to enable fulfilment of the sponsorship.​
In the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond Fashion Minority Alliance’s reasonable control, Fashion Minority Alliance reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the sponsorship or these terms and conditions, either in whole or in part, with or without notice.
Fashion Minority Alliance’s decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into.
By entering the sponsorship you give consent and permission to Fashion Minority Alliance to use and repost your submission including your social media username after the winner has been selected in its own marketing.
